Facilities at Jolly Beach Resort Antigua are adequate but not outstanding.
The rooms are clean and pleasant but provide only the basics. Some have bathrooms with chipped tiles, walls with discolored patches, or refrigerators that turn every liquid into solid ice. The grounds have areas with scraggly grass and a few eyesores like exposed electrical units.
At check-in, guests are handed a lock for the in-room safe – then learn upon checking out that whether they’ve used it or not, they’ve incurred a daily fee. Some of the staff exhibits attitude, like the hostess at one of the restaurants who refused to seat our party without a reservation even though the restaurant was practically empty.
