Although the resort is huge, its 462 guest rooms are housed in low buildings that sprawl across 37 acres, preventing the accommodations from feeling cramped.
The propertys meandering walkways, gardens, and beach views provide scenic surroundings.
There are five room categories: The Supersaver, with a double bed, and the Standard, with one king or two twin beds, are quite small and are outfitted with the basics and nothing more. The Superior, with two queen beds, and the King Superior, with a king-sized bed and a sitting area, are slightly larger. The Junior Suite has a king-sized bed and a separate living room. There are also several beachfront cottages and two one-bedroom cottages that are considered honeymoon suites.
In all categories, rooms are clean; air-conditioning is more than adequate; and there is either a balcony or terrace.
Rooms have white stucco-style walls, white tile floors, and colorful bedspreads, drapes, and upholstery. Satellite TV, direct dial telephones, hair dryers, and in-room safes are provided. More-expensive rooms have mini-refrigerators and coffee makers.
Don't come to Jolly Beach Resort Antigua expecting luxury, though. Bathrooms, for example, have a standard motel-style bathtub with a showerhead, and even basic amenities like hair conditioner and shower caps are not provided.
