Many travelers who follow the Quoddy Loop make a visit to Campobello after crossing the border. Campobello was the vacation home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States.
Roosevelt spent summers at Campobello as a child and continued to visit the island in Passamaquoddy Bay as an adult. With his wife Eleanor and their six children, the Roosevelts made Campobello their second home.
