How To Get Married (and Honeymoon) in Las Vegas

Wedding planning overwhelming you? Do it the easy way.

Time Required: One week
Here's How:
  1. Agree on a wedding date.
  2. Survey Las Vegas wedding chapels.
  3. Choose one. (Hint: The nicest ones are in casino-hotels.)
  4. Ask to speak to a wedding coordinator.
  5. Ask her to email information about the hotel's wedding packages.
  6. Find out if the date and time you want for the ceremony are available.
  7. Book it.
  8. Invite friends and family.
  9. Make plane and hotel reservations.
  10. Let reservationists know you're coming for your wedding or honeymoon. You might get an upgrade.
  11. Make reservations for a celebratory lunch or dinner.
  12. Don't forget to order the wedding cake.
  13. Arrive a day early to get your marriage license at the Clark County courthouse downtown.
  14. After the ceremony and the celebration, slip away. Remember: It's your honeymoon now, not a group vacation.
