On September 3, 2003 Today Show Throws a Wedding drew to a close following the ceremony that united Chris and Seneca and the announcement of the honeymoon destination to follow their New York City wedding.
Turtle Island Resort, an exotic, tropical, all-inclusive composed of thatched cottages beside clear blue-green water in Fiji, received the most votes from Today Show viewers. The trip was planned by a Virtuoso travel consultant. Virtuoso is a company that specializes in upmarket trips.
TODAY SHOW HONEYMOON SELECTIONS
The 2003 Today Show travel choices ranged from the exotic to the luxurious to the adventurous. Some 420,000 viewers cast a vote on a honeymoon destination for the couple. The choices were:
a) Fiji for Two
One of the most beautiful and also one of the most remote places on earth, Fiji consists of 300 islands in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and Australia.
b) Canadian Rockies Romance
The rugged Rockies provide the perfect backdrop for romance, while two extraordinary Fairmont Hotels in breath-takingly scenic Banff Springs and Lake Louise provide luxury lodgings and gourmet dining.
c) African Safari and Fregate Island
Few itineraries could be more exotic than a South African safari paired with a stay on Fregate island, the same spot Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills spent their honeymoon.
d) European Cruise and Paris Stay
On this itinerary, the couple get to cruise ports along the Spanish Riviera on a luxury liner and then spend the last four nights of their honeymoon in Paris.
