Guide Review - The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal Hotel
A dozen long-stemmed red roses greeted this guest when she checked into a traditionally decorated, yellow-and-gold junior suite one cold, snowy November. The living room was small, but the bedroom and king-size bed were more than adequate. The separate dressing room and marble bathroom (with magnifying makeup mirror) completed the suite. A Mobil Four-Star Award winner, The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal is the company's only hotel in Canada. Many guests will appreciate the graciousness of this architectural treasure, its elegant restaurant, and top-flight staff (from the elevator operator to the room service waiters to the concierge). Other travelers, who require facilities such as an on-site swimming pool or gym, may be happier elsewhere.
