Built in 1947, before the era of large island hotels, accommodations at Pink Beach Club consist of two- and three-story cottage buildings containing a total of 94 rooms. All but three face the Atlantic Ocean.
Cottage deluxe rooms and ocean-view juniors are spacious studio suites with a living room/bedroom combination (king-size bed available). All other room categories are one-bedroom suites that feature a bedroom with one king bed or two queen beds and a separate living room.
Despite its long history on the island, Pink Beach Club & Cottages has a new look: After completing an $18-million renovation project that increased room inventory and installed new furnishings, the property reopened in 2003.
Island Activities
Snorkeling equipment is included in the rate and mopeds can be rented on-site. Tennis players have two courts, and equipment can be rented. Two championship golf courses -- the private Mid Ocean Club and new Tuckers Point -- are nearby, and tee times can be arranged.
And just in case you don't find the warm waters, sunny skies, and carefree days relaxing enough, two massage therapists are on staff to perform in-cottage massages on one or both of you.
Dining a Deux
At this hideaway on Bermudas south shore, couples can enjoy a full, hot English breakfast in the privacy of their own cottage, served by a personal housekeeper. The Pink Beach Club's casual Breakers serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner outdoors from April 15 - October 15.
Couples who want to dress for dinner can savor a gourmet meal indoors at the Bermudiana, a formal dining room with a splendid view of the Atlantic. April through December, live music, ranging from Calypso to Swing to piano music, fills the sweet night air.
Bermuda Unions
Destination weddings have become increasingly popular at Pink Beach Club. While there is a variety of spectacularly romantic settings to choose from on the property -- including the pink sand beaches and acres of tropical gardens -- many couples choose to marry under the hotel's moongate.
Centuries ago, Bermudians began building moongates, large rings of stone used as garden ornaments. Tradition holds that honeymooners walking through a moon gate will have a lifetime of good luck.
The Pink Beach Club wedding package includes the services of a wedding coordinator to arrange the ceremony at a Pink Beach Club location, help in securing a marriage license and certificate, the minister and ceremony, and a bottle of champagne. If needed, a witness will be made available. Flowers and the services of a professional photographer are additional.
In a setting this beautiful, who wouldn't want to capture the day on film, to be savored for all the years of your marriage to come?
