Are you planning to travel outside the country on your honeymoon or other vacation? If so, call your credit card company ahead of time to give them travel notice: Tell them the dates you will be out of the country and the destinations you plan to visit.
By taking the time to advise the company of your travel plans, you avoid having your credit card declined when you use it in an uncharacteristic setting. Otherwise they may flag your out-of-the-country charges as suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity.
If you forget to give travel notice and have your card refused overseas, call the number on the back of the card, be prepared to verify your identity, and ask to have the charge accepted.
