Atlantic City, New Jersey is preparing itself for the start of direct train service from New York City in early 2009. This new transportation option is likely to attract new visitors.

The city's new restaurants, shops, nightclubs, and hotels are are already drawing younger and more affluent visitors. Ever optimistic, Atlantic City boosters point to the recent opening of two brand-new hotels as evidence the city, which knows both poverty and crime, is on the rise. I've inspected both, and I think one may be right for you:
