Bye, Bye Bedspreads?

Wednesday March 8, 2006
Did the last hotel you stayed in have a bedspread? Scratchy, quilted bed covers in depressing geometric or floral prints are slowly becoming a thing of the past. They're being stripped away to reveal cool, crisp, white, high-threadcount sheets.

Poll: What do you do with a hotel bedspread?

Even Hampton Inns, the mid-priced brand from Hilton, has done away with bedspreads in favor of a new "Cloud Nine" bedding package. These motels aren't the cheapest places you'll find when you travel, but they include so many freebies that you may find a Hampton Inn is the perfect place to spend one night.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn in Ocean Springs, MS on my way to Georgia. Loved the exceptional service and THE BEDSPREADS. They were wonderful and so decadent. It was nothing like the filthy bedspreads at other hotels. I liked them so much that I spent another couple of nights there on my return trip. Where can I buy the duvet covers?
